Groups of various indigenous peoples of the Pacific region (each numbered and named below), dressed in their native costumes; in the background of each group a typical landscape of their region. The tableau is surrounded by a narrow pictorial border. Very fine engraving and aquatint, water-colouring in delicate shades, the framing bordure highlighted with gold.
