At the upper left side a magnificent coat of arms and at the upper middle a cartouche with an inscription: :“ NOBIL Amplmo & consultißimo Viro D. Bernhardo Guliemo Nuslero, Celißimo Lygio-Bergensium Duci a Consiliis ac Secretis. Praecipuo operis huius Promotori, A. Georgio Vechnero S. Th. D. et Jona Sculteto sprotta Silesio.“
Original coloured copper engraving after the cartographers Georg Vechner and Jonas Scultetus, „Atlas Major“ published by Joan Blaeu (1596 – 1673), Amsterdam 1662, verso: text written in Latin.
Plate size: 42 cm x 55 cm
Very decorative map with beautiful original colour and gold leaf gilding. Copper engraving printed on heavy paper, paper slightly toned due to age, wide margins, excellent condition.
