One of the earliest printed 'modern' maps of the area of present Turkey, with Cyprus and the eastern Aegean Sea.

Orig. coloured woodcut map from the supplement of the „Geographia“ by Martin Waldseemüller, edited by Georg Übelin, printed and published by Johannes Schott, Strasbourg 1520, 35,5 x 50,5 cm (size of the map).

Perfect imprint and condition, with a nice original colouring from the period of printing. Rare in such an excellent condition.
