One of four large wall maps depicting the Continents Europe, Africa, America and Asia. Here North- and South America, on the left a small inset map depicting the region of the North Pole and Hudson Bay with the title: "Les Terres Arctiques, où se trouvent les Bayes d‘Hudson et de Baffin“, at the bottom right the decorative title cartouche engraved and designed by J. Arrivet.

Large copper engraving printed from four plates, originally published by Gilles & Didier Robert de Vaugondy Paris 1767. Here the republished edition by Charles François Delamarche (1740-1817), Paris 1792.

Size c.: 98 x 112 cm (with a light green silk bordering)

Beautiful print and colours, original mounting, some minor restorations in the paper and at the margins, some toning due to old age, altogether in good to very good condition.
