Medieval manuscript
Medieval manuscript, single vellum leaf out of an Italian Antiphonary with writing on both sides.
The large initial „S“ on the recto is painted in red on a blue ground. In the upper half of the „S“ is a portrait of Jesus, in the lower half is one of his disciples painted in red blue and gold. Framing the Initial are beautiful vine decorations in red, blue and gold. Six lines of text in black ink written in a fine gothic hand. Square notation on four-line red staves (recto and verso)

The vellum is a little wavy with some minor stains at the margins, altogether in very good condition
