On the afternoon of May 3rd, 1833 the steamboat Yellow Stone stopped for about three hours at Bellvue. Situated near present-day Omaha, Nebraska, the Bellvue Agency was according to Maximilian situated on a hilltop, the churchyard entirely on the summit.
