Yamamoto Shôun (1870-1965)
A songbird between splendidly flowering pink and violet peonies.
Publisher: (Matsuki Heikichi, Daikoku-ya, Tokyo?)
Date: c. 1900-1910

Very fine and crisp impression with excellent colours and embossing. Printed on strong paper with wide margins. Paper minimally age-toned, very slightly soiled in bottom, left corners a tiny bit rubbed. Overall very good to excellent condition. A very rare Kachô-e by the artist. So far no other copy recorded.
