Katsushika Hokusai (1760-1849)

Three travellers, one of them on horseback, are waiting on the banks of the Tamagawa river for the ferry boat arriving. A servant attaches straw sandals to the horse’s hooves.

Excellent impression in very good colours. Unbacked. Two small, very faint brown spots, at lower margin a few tiny notches, on verso top two small paper remnants from previous attachment. Overall very nice condition. A small collector's mark in the lower right corner.
