Isoda Koryûsai (1735-1790) attributed

A lively bathing scene in a mixed public bathhouse (sentô): a woman and a man are washing themselves, a young man is scrubbing the back of a young beauty. The woman to the right has already donned her light underkimono.

Date: c. 1770

Size: Horizontal Chûban, 19,1 x 26,2 cm

Fine impression in very good colours, with pigment oxidation. Two smoothed vertical folds, minimal soiling at left corners and top. At all fine condition. On verso unidentified collector's seal. A very rare bathhouse scene, likely from an untitled Shunga series.
