Utagawa Kunisada (Toyokuni III) (1786-1865)

Standing beauty with loose hair and loosened up kimono, holding a uchiwa-fan in her right hand.

Title: Yûshi Naishinnô-ke no Kii (Lady Kii of Princess Yûshi’s Household) – No 70 (recte: 70)

Series: without title, but belongs to „Hyakunin isshu eshô“ – (A pictorial commentary on one hundred poems by one hundred poets)

Size: Oban, 36,5 x 25 cm

Very good impression and colours, with relief printing. A tiny bit worn, horizontal centrefold (smoothed and nearly not to be seen), just a few creases, two small pinholes at upper corners, otherwise very good condtion.

An interesting detail: Kunisada's artist name Gô Ichiyôsai is written on the obi (sash) at the left side.
