Utagawa Kunisada (Toyokuni III) (1786-1865)

Two beauties beside a summer screen with a rimpa decor, autumn leaves over waters.

Title: Sangi Masatsune (The poet and state council Masatsune) – No 94 (right), and: Saki no Daisôjô (Jichin) (the emeritus abbot Jichin or Jien) ) – No 95 (left)

Series: without title, but belonging to „Hyakunin isshu eshô“ (A pictorial commentary on one hundred poems by one hundred poets)

Signature: Kôchôrô Toyokuni ga (right), Ichiyôsai Toyokuni ga (left)

Seal: Toshidama

Size: Oban diptych, set ca. 36,5 x 49,8 cm

Very good impression and colours. Not mounted, not put together. Paper partly a little bit thinner at corners and margins. Left print with a weak vertical centre fold. Throughout still in a very good condition.
