Ikeda (Terumatsu) Ayaoka (1817-1887)

Two fishermen on their boats fishing at night by torchlight. Diagonally a red honeycomb pattern (kikkô, turtle shell pattern) in the style of a shibori tie-dyed fabric. Octagonal uchiwa-e (fan print).

Very nice impression and colours. Vertical centrefold as usual (a bit fragile in bottom), else very good condition. Rare.
