Shirô: Pagoda in rain at nightfall

Kasamatsu Shirô (1898-1991)

On a rainy evening a lady under her umbrella is passing by the pagoda of Tennôji temple in Yanaka, Tokyo. The pagoda was destroyed in a fire, caused by a double suicide in 1957, and has not been rebuilt.
