Utagawa Kuniyoshi (1798-1861)

Uramatsu Kihei Hidenao, propped stoutly on his sword, is crossing the river in a thatch roofed boat. In the background a snow-covered landscape. In the cartouche above a poem and a lying ox, signed Yoshitori-jo (a daughter of Kuniyoshi).

Very nice impression and colours, with relief printing. Originally mounted, margins a little bit trimmed, lower right corner somewhat worn, otherwise very good condition.
