A young lady enjoys the cool of the evening, sitting on a bank and and cooling herself by fanning with an uchiwa.

Very good impression and very nice fresh colours, with relief printing and printed with silver peigments. With an old mounting. Perfect condition.

The title „East“ means „Elegant traditional kimono fashion from the eastern capital city, i.e. Tokyo“. This rare and very nice series by Chikanobu shows ladies dressed with kimonos appropriate to their activities. Therefore esp. the kimonos are very skilfully worked out in detail.
