Mizuno Toshikata (1866-1908)

A noble young lady playing the koto by the light of an andon lantern. In the trompe l'oeil scene "behind" a samurai holding a bowl of green tea sits in front of a window, his sword resting on the floor behind him.

Excellent impression and colours, with lustre printing. A few weak creases and folds and two vertical folds, as typical with kuchi-e. Overall very good condition.
