Mizuno Toshikata (1866-1908)

A young samurai, wearing luxuriant clothes, gazing after a vanishing procession of a daimyo of the satsuma clan. The crest of the clan is visible on the trunks.
In a red round cartouche a portrait of a young lady wearing the hairstyle of the Genroku Era.

Fine print with very good colours, lacquer printing (shomenzuri) and silver pigments. With two vertical folds (common with kuchi-e). Very beautiful and rare kuchi-e.
