Utagawa Hiroshige (1797-1858)

A scenic, multi-coloured rock formation dominates the right side of the picture. Round straw hats of samurai, followers of a travelling daimyo, illustrate a trail through a canyon.  A range of hills lines the blue lake, in the background Mount Fuji.

Fine impression, nice and bright colours. Margins a tiny bit trimmed. Lower margin under the picture neatly replaced. Vertical centrefold as often. Small restored wormholes. A little bit soiled. In all very good condition. Stamp of the Hanns Crzellitzer collection on lower right corner.
