Gallery for original Japanese Woodblock Prints, Woodblock Books, and Paintings from the 18th to 20th century & Art dealer's shop for Old Maps, Views, Decorative prints, and old Master prints from the 15th to 20th century in Munich.
Originally coloured copper engravings from "Hortus Romanus", a very rare book of herbs, published by Georgio Bonelli in Rome between 1772 and 1793 in 8 volumes altogether with 800 depictions of plants. Only a small number of copies was printed - probably not even the planned 300 - and just a handful originally coloured. Most of the depictions were engraved - and a few also coloured - by Maddalena Bouchard after drawings by C. Ubertini.
