First atlas map which focuses the Pacific Ocean, surrounded by the Americas, Japan, Southeast Asia, New Guinea and ‘Terra Australis’ in the south. Two decorative cartouches and a fine depiction of Magellan’s flagship the ‘Victoria’ illustrate the map.

A very attractive example with wide margins, exquisite original old colours and in a perfect condition. One of the most famous Atlas Maps ever produced.
