Yamaguchi Susumu (1897-1983)

A black and white tabby cat sleeps on a wooden veranda in the warm light of the late autumn sun. Persimmon (or kaki) fruits are hung out to dry, casting their shadows on the richly grained wooden wall behind.

Very good impression and colours, on thick handmade paper. With a rectangular stamp "Keisho Gallery" (of the publisher Keishô-sha?) at lower right. Upper margin a little bit rolled due to the paper, minimal toning resp. tiny spots at margins, overall very good condition.
