Kawase Hasui (1883-1957)

Cherry tree blossom at the Tendai temple Ryûsenji (also known as Meguro Fudô temple) in the Meguro district of Tokyo. Visitors are entering the main hall. Beautiful play of sunlight and shadow in the foreground.

Excellent early impression in very good colours. Paper slightly age toned. Customary pinhole in left margin. Thin areas in upper margin and two small tears in upper left margin professionally restored. Overall in very good condition.
